5.25.15- Happiest Day EVER!

After dating 9 years, 6 months and 16 days...

Josh and I are officially engaged!

I wanted to share with you all the details about our engagement!

On Sunday, May 24, 2015 Josh mentioned he wanted to take me to the mall to buy an outfit because we were going to take pictures at his Nanny's house on Memorial Day.  So we went and I picked out a simple blue dress to go along with the Memorial day theme.

I worked on Monday until about 2:30 and Josh told me when I got off work to go home and get dressed up to take pictures.  On the way home from work I called him and he said he would meet me at my house and he was going to change into his suit.  I was skeptical because why on earth would he want to wear a suit in 84 degree weather, but some how he convinced me that everyone would be dressed up. ;)

We were going to leave my house at 4 to head over to Nanny's when Josh got a "call" from his dad saying that he had gotten a flat tire while riding up Mt. Pisgah and we had to go up to get him before the dinner.  Seeing that this isn't something out of the blue, I really had no idea that the thirty minute drive would turn into an engagement!  On the way up the mountain I kept asking him different questions of why we had to go pick him up and every answer I got was so believable! 

When we arrived, we saw Josh's dad gathered around a bunch of people who didn't speak English, but wanted him to take a picture.  He was trying to get them to move out of the way but they didnt understand anything he was saying.  We parked and I did not want to get out of the car, but Josh some how convinced me to get out of the car and take a picture.  Josh's dad took my iphone and started clicking pictures.  All of the sudden Josh said my name and I said what and I all I remember is him getting down on one knee and saying words that were not registering in my brain.  All I could do is shake my yes because no words could come out!  And the rest is history :)  It was the most perfect moment in the most perfect spot!

He popped the question!  Josh was soooo nervous, his fingertips were shaking!

One of my favorite things about this day was when we arrived at Nanny's house, my parents were there!  We had a great meal and a cookie cake! (my fav) Best day ever.
